Let me get right to the point: we’ve just been named in the Gartner® Cool Vendors™ in Edge Computing report for 2022.
As you might expect, every one of us at Spectro Cloud is thrilled and honored to be included in this Gartner report.
We consider this as an acknowledgement that we’re tackling the right problem for our customers: helping them manage their clusters at scale.
What’s vital in today’s K8s edge landscape is not just the simple, ‘plug ‘n’ play’ edge approach, or its use of automation to enable efficient scale; it’s also the recognition that every customer’s needs are different and every customer will need a different stack of technologies to build functioning clusters at the edge. One size does not fit all.
This is where our Palette solution’s ability to quickly define full-stack ‘Cluster Profiles’ comes into play: beyond just the K8s distribution and OS, to also include unlimited ‘packs’ and integrations.
It’s also about managing the complete lifecycle of the cluster, beyond day 1 provisioning. For us, we tackle these requirements with self-healing and two-minute reconciliation loops for zero downtime and zero configuration drift.
If you’ve landed on this blog while looking for an edge computing vendor to help you with your Kubernetes deployments, let us point you at a few things.
First, go check out the Gartner report itself. You can access a complimentary copy of the full research right here.
To learn more about our platform, here you’ll find details of our Palette Edge solution and its unique scalable architecture.
You can learn more about our vision for a scalable Kubernetes edge architecture in this article on The New Stack.
And to hear from one pioneering customer that is already doing Kubernetes at the edge, at scale, watch this video from GE Healthcare at KubeCon EU.
We’re passionate about our mission to help organizations manage Kubernetes in production, at scale — and we believe the edge is where the challenge is greatest. Together, we can make it happen!
