Why choose a support contract?

Kairos is an open source tool — that means by default you only get best effort support from the community for bugs and issues. If you get stuck, it’s just you and the documentation.

That’s great for when you’re evaluating a new technology, but if you’re relying on Kairos for production workloads, you need to know you can call on the experts for help when you need it most. You’ve got better things to do than dig around in Github for answers.

We price our basic and production support services based on the scale of the Kairos infrastructure you’re running. Support contracts start at less than $40 per week — making peace of mind cheaper than getting takeout on a Friday.

Why Spectro for support?

Why go anywhere else? Spectro Cloud created Kairos and is still the lead sponsor of the project — we know it better than anyone. With a Spectro support contract, you get access to the Kairos team and Spectro Cloud’s award-winning technical support capabilities.

Can I get 24x7 support?

With our Production support tier, you get 24x7 access to raise urgent cases with P1/P2 severity.

Do you offer phone support?

Phone support is available for our Production support tier only. With Basic support, you can raise tickets via our support portal or via email.

What if I need more than the included support allowances?

For our Basic support, if you need more than five support tickets in a year, you can purchase additional bundles of three tickets for $1k. For our Production support tier, we scale to any number of extra nodes on a flat per-node price. Contact us to get a tailored estimate.

What’s the difference between Kairos and Palette Edge?

Check out our documentation to learn more about Palette Edge, but to start: Palette Edge is a multicluster management tool that supports a choice of Kubernetes distributions, management of the full cluster stack, and powerful UI and API in addition to a familiar CLI. 

Is the access to Palette Edge really free?

With every Production support contract, you get free access to manage up to five edge clusters with Palette Edge, with access to all of Palette's powerful features. If you need more edge scale, or want to manage Kubernetes clusters in clouds and other environments, contact us for pricing.
