Palette VerteX is the first Kubernetes management platform to attain these standards, underscoring Spectro Cloud’s commitment to mission-grade security for U.S. government and regulated industries
Spectro Cloud today announced that Palette VerteX, the company’s next-generation Kubernetes management platform for government and regulated sectors, has attained FedRAMP Moderate “In Process” status, sponsored by the U.S. Army. Palette VerteX has also attained FedRAMP 20x Low Authorization to Operate (ATO) status.
At the same time, VerteX has completed validation with the latest FIPS 140-3 cryptographic security standard, through independent assessment by Corsec.
Palette VerteX becomes the first and only multi-environment Kubernetes management platform to achieve this combined level of federal security validation and authorization, advancing the state of secure, scalable Kubernetes. VerteX is available in SaaS or self-hosted versions, and offers consistent security from the tactical edge to GovCloud, with flexibility to operate in both connected and air-gapped environments.
“This is a watershed moment for organizations in defense, financial services, healthcare… any organization that needs a trusted platform to manage Kubernetes wherever the mission takes them,” said Kyle Goodwin, SVP of Sales, Spectro Cloud. “Army sponsorship at FedRAMP Moderate and FIPS 140-3 validation show that Palette VerteX meets the rigor our customers demand, across air-gapped edge, data center, and cloud. We’re proud to deliver the control and resilience agencies require to accelerate capability delivery.”
Completing FIPS 140-3 validation for Palette VerteX demonstrates a deep commitment to cryptographic assurance that security-conscious buyers can rely on. Notably, VerteX meets the FIPS standards across its full architecture, from the management plane itself, to the full-stack workload clusters that VerteX builds and manages, even in far-flung edge computing environments.
"Agencies need secure, repeatable and reliable Kubernetes at scale, not bespoke projects,” said John Weiler, CEO and Chief Information Officer of IT Acquisition Advisory Council. “With accelerated deployments of tactical edge and AI use cases across government and other regulated environments, these solutions need security and governance disciplines beyond that typically used in enterprise environments. Spectro Cloud's Palette VerteX brings the FedRAMP and FIPS certification needed to ensure critical mission-ready deployments that may span data centers, clouds, edge and AI environments."
Since launching VerteX in 2023, Spectro Cloud has also attained ‘awardable’ status in the P1 and CDAO Tradewinds solution marketplaces, and earned the AWS Government Software competency. Today Spectro Cloud’s Government team serves Army, Navy and Air Force, plus numerous defense organizations and civilian federal entities.
Spectro Cloud will showcase Palette VerteX at NVIDIA GTC, Washington, D.C., October 27–29, 2025, and at KubeCon Atlanta, November 10–13, 2025. Public sector leaders are invited to meet the team to see how VerteX unifies Kubernetes and VM management, supports air-gapped deployments, and brings FIPS-validated security to every environment.
